Hi I'm Robbie, the passionate owner/operator behind WANAMOW, and your trusted local lawncare expert servicing right here in beautiful Wānaka and surrounds (Albert Town, Luggate, Hāwea, Queensberry). Originally hailing from Canada and raised in the bustling city of Toronto, my journey to becoming a lawncare guru is nothing short of an adventure!

My love affair with nature and the outdoors began when I moved to Alberta to the picturesque town of Banff at age 19. Surrounded by breathtaking landscapes of Western Canada for several years, my adventurous spirit then led me backpacking around the globe. After a few months stint in South East Asia followed by 4 years of working holiday visas (Australia then shifting to New Zealand) I finally landed in beautiful Wānaka in 2018 and quickly decided to put down "grass" roots. With its resemblence to the Canadian Rockies and its unparalleled beauty, Wānaka has completely stolen my heart and I'm grateful to have the privilege to call this place home for the past 7 years.

My career shift into lawncare came during the pandemic in 2020. It was then I decided to pursue my passion for the outdoors and got a job working with a small, reputable, and very well-established lawncare company here in town. Through mentorship and years of on the job experience working directly with the owner and crew, I dialed in on the skills necessary to master the craft. Naturally, evolution took it's place and that's when I decided to launch my very own lawncare business in 2023 thus the birth of WANAMOW!

If I'm not meticulously doing laps of your lawn, I can be found doing laps of Mt. Iron, the ski fields, or the golf course where I will forever be trying to perfect my swing. If you don't see me enjoying the great outdoors, you'll most probably catch me entertaining the masses and wowing audiences at one of the local pubs, a birthday party or maybe even your mates wedding as half of "The Dirty Money Duo" - A musical collaboration with my lovely and talented wife Emma. Besides being a renowned singer-songwriter from Cromwell, Emma is also a beloved primary school teacher in Wānaka. She adds her endless talent and unique flare to the band, as well as the vibrant community that we both love and cherish very much!
